OUR STORY

Space Apple was started in the year 2002 and began by training paragliding students using winch launches and hill sites around the Vasai–Virar region. In 2005, we expanded into paramotoring and formally introduced paramotor training in 2008.
Since then, over 600 enthusiasts have been introduced to the skies through our paragliding training programs. Several of our students continue to pursue paragliding as a hobby or profession.
As urban development reduced our access to hill sites, our focus shifted to paramotoring. We were fortunate to discover an abandoned salt pan, which has since become one of the finest trike based as well as foot launch paramotor flying sites in India. This saltpan spread across over a 1000-acre is flat and obstruction-free area making it an ideal and safe flight training location.
Vasai has over 20 kilometers of coastline with several open spaces for emergency takeoff and landing within the width of over 6 kms from seashore to the railway line. As of April 2025, 63 enthusiasts have learned paramotoring from Space Apple to graduate as hobby pilots and are pursuing the sport as a hobby or as a profession.
Today, Space Apple is widely recognized in India’s flying community for our:

Story Behind Space Apple Name and Logo
The earth is an oblate spheroid, meaning it is slightly flattened at the poles and bulging at the equator, similar to how an orange or an apple has a rounded shape.
When Yuri Gagarin became the first human to orbit the Earth in 1961, he looked out of his spacecraft window and described our planet as looking “like a small apple.” Floating high above, he saw the Earth not as borders and boundaries, but as a fragile, beautiful orb — whole, round, alive.
This poetic observation stayed with us.
Years later, standing under the open skies, watching wings rise with the wind, we were reminded of that same sense of wonder. The Earth may have looked like an apple from space — but from the sky, the sky itself feels like space.
And when you're flying, the world below looks small, serene — like a distant fruit you once reached for in a dream.
This is how Space Apple name and the logo was born.
Our logo — with the subtle arc of a bird’s wing in flight — captures the essence of free flight and the spirit of exploration. It is a symbol of the dreams we chase and the freedom we find when we lift off the
ground.
At Space Apple Paramotoring School, we don’t just teach you how to fly —
We help you touch that moment of awe,
to see the Earth the way Gagarin did,
and to find your wings beneath the sky.
Welcome to Space Apple — where the sky is your orchard.
