Karnala
Karnala 1538 ft the funnel shaped pinnacle of this fort stands prominently on
the Panvel - Pen road. It is a landmark seen from Mumbai. Thickly forested, the
area has been declared a bird sanctuary. The 45 m thumb shaped funnel rises
steeply with caves at its base. This offers excellent opportunities for rock
climbing.
Programme
Day 1
Depart from Dadar at 3.00 p.m. by jeep / bus. Arrive Karnala by 4.30 p.m.
Transfer to hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight at Karnala.
Day 2
Next morning after breakfast proceed on the trail to Karnala. Return back to
hotel for late lunch. After lunch and rest depart for Mumbai by 4.00 p.m. Arrive
Mumbai around 5.30 p.m.
